Hey,

I’m Edward Fernandez.

TherapyMotivated came out of a deep rooted desire to serve people.

I was born and raised in New York City, where the unexpected was the norm. Adapting to constant change became second nature, and growing up surrounded by diversity deeply shaped how I saw the world and connected with others.

Due to my childhood speech impediment, however, I naturally became introverted and turned inward for reflection. What I didn’t realize then was that this inner world would profoundly shape the direction of my future endeavors.

Over time, I overcame both the speech impediment and the shyness that came with it—but I held onto the powerful tools of self-reflection and introspection that once helped me navigate childhood. Those inner strengths not only helped me cope with the embarrassment I often felt, but also with the dysfunction of my family dynamic. A story for another time.

These days, I spend my time reading, studying, exercising, deepening my faith, and enjoying simple pleasures—like a good latte or the occasional glass of whiskey with loved ones. Most importantly, I cherish time with my amazing wife, who’s endlessly amused by my spontaneous deep dives into human behavior.

The majority of my day is devoted to therapy and coaching, and I find it deeply rewarding. This path continually sparks my curiosity and passion, and above all, I’m grateful to offer genuine care and support to those in need.
